Big Presentation

You’re at the convention centre’s lobby bar just minutes before your big presentation.  This presentation will make or break your career, so naturally, you’re a bit nervous.  There were plenty of others who wanted to be in your shoes, both co-workers and competitors from outside the company, and they did their worst in trying to sabotage you.  But you made it.  You’re here.

Now don’t fuck it up!

You throw back one last shot of bourbon, a questionable decision given what’s at stake, but the air of confidence with which you normally carry yourself is nowhere to be found.  You’re usually the first guy in the bar to try and get the hottest chick into bed, but you’re even hesitating at the chance to approach a strikingly beautiful woman who’s been eyeing you from across the lounge.  You normally wouldn’t think twice about walking over to her, but in addition to being nervous, you also don’t have much time before you’re expected on stage.

Your curiosity piqued, you decide to go say hello.  You figure this chick should be easy pickins since she’s the one eyeballing you.  As you get closer, you realize how gorgeous she is.  She has long, curly blonde hair, is wearing a red sweater with a plunging neckline, and she’s dressed in a tight black skirt that hovers just above her knees.

Surprisingly, you’re still a bit nervous.  You don’t feel like you can be your normal, confident, charismatic self who usually has no problem getting a woman into bed.  It doesn’t feel like it will come naturally today.  If you’re going to turn on the charm, it’s definitely going to be forced, and you’ve got precious little time to seal the deal.

On the verge of spewing a cheesy line, the beautiful blonde flashes a welcoming smile at you.  It catches you off guard and you’re having second thoughts about trying to get her in the sack.  Maybe this is a rare situation where you can be vulnerable with a woman and just talk.  Confide in her.  Let her know you’re having some anxiety during an important moment in your career.
